The occurrence of the Islamic Revolution of Iran is of paramount importance, 
but the question is what “the grand ideal” of this revolution is, and what the 
requirements for the maintenance and continuation of Islamic Revolution are 
to pursue its noble goals. This research, by focusing on the ideas of the 
Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, with a 
descriptive-analytic method, has come to the conclusion that firstly, Mahdism 
and the appearance of Imam of the Time (A.S) is the final goal of the Islamic
revolution; secondly, in order to pave the ground for this sacred goal and attain 
it, we must adhere to some cultural necessities, such as constant attention to 
the ideal of Mahdism, cultural jihad to pave the ground for appearance, 
centrality of awaiting in life-style, justice spread at all levels, upbringing of 
righteous awaiting human beings.
