At the end of verse 158 of Surah al-An’aam, it has announced the coming of a
day in the last Ummah (nation) in the future in which some of the Divine
revelations will be revealed on that day, and those who did not have faith or
righteous deeds before that day, their acceptance of a creed will be of no use in
that they. There are three premises about this section of the verse: the famous
words of the two sects mention it is about the “Ashrat al-Saa’at” (signs of the
hour (for resurrection)); some relate it to the “worldly torment” and some of
the Shiite interpreters relate it to the appearance of Imam Mahdi (A.S). The
main question of this research is that how this part of the verse is relation to
the “rise of Imam Mahdi (A.S) and is justified and analyzed. Mokhtar’s theory
is a combination of all three sayings; in the Apocalypse, at the time of rise of
Imam Mahdi (A.S), some of the Divine verses which are interpreted as
“Ashrat Al-Saa’at” become apparent and according to Divine’s Sunnah, a
worldly judgment occurs amongst the Ummah (nation) which will be
accompanied with the downfall of the Divine retribution for the destruction of
the oppressors and succession of the righteous with the centrality of the God’s
Caliph. The present paper is organized on the descriptive-analytic method.
